DR1 - A South Korean businessman, Hak Sun Kim, owner of the Carib Hair factory in Nigua, in San Cristobal province has been missing for 19 days. Kim was the general manager of the factory that manufactured wigs and synthetic hair.
His business partner Young Park held a press conference yesterday, Monday 23 April, in the presence of South Korean consul Yoo Dongwan to express concern about the lack of progress in the police investigation into the case. Park said that Kim was dedicated to his family, work and church. Dongwan said they have high hopes the Police will soon solve the case. Kim is married to Jung Hwa Lee and they have three children.
Police spokesman General Maximo Baez Aybar said that a commission has been appointed to investigate the suspected kidnapping of the businessman, who has been missing since 4 April when he left his workplace to go home. His wife Jung Hwa Lee said that all that has been located is her husband`s vehicle, a white Hyundai Santa Fe, which was found in Villa Mella, in Santo Domingo North. She says she has received two anonymous calls saying they know where Kim is, but that she has not spoken to him. Baez Aybar was confident the case would be resolved. Read original at DR1.
