Listin Diario - El cocido madrileño, que durante siglos fue un plato popular pero por cierto tiempo reemplazado por comidas exóticas, alcanza hoy día el status de plato estrella en algunos restaurantes de la capital de España. Entre ellos, la Taberna La Bola, fundada en 1870 en la calle Guillermo Rolland número 1, haciendo esquina con la empinada calle La Bola. Acudo personalmente a reservar para la 1:30 de la tarde del día siguiente. (Hay dos horas para almorzar: 1:30 p. m. y 3:00 p. m. ). Me advierten que no aceptan tarjetas de crédito (ya lo sabía, de manera que traigo suficientes euros en efectivo). A la 1:10 de la tarde entro al local. Doy mi nombre, y lo comprueban en la lista. El maitre d’ me indica que puedo sentarme, mas “es un poco pronto” y no pueden todavía servirme. The coolest reading came from Santiago Intl A with an overnight low of 72. A few spotty light to moderate rain showers were reported, the last in El Catey Intl at 6PM this evening. Skies were generally partly cloudy. Winds are averaging 9 mph from the SE, with a peak gust to 25 mph seen at 4PM this afternoon at Santiago Intl A. By the Numbers DR cities reported rain 13% of the time, and thunderstorms 0%. Average reported rainfall intensity on a scale of 0 to 100 was 36. Cloud cover totaled 50%. USGS Detects Minor Earthquake in the DR

The Dominican Sun - The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has just reported observing a minor earthquake in the Dominican Republic at 4:02 AST. Preliminary measurements give the quake a magnitude of 2. 5. The quake`s epicenter was located in the Mona Passage at latitude 18. 154N and longitude 67. 365W at a depth of 10. 87 miles.
